The Office of Medical Education, in partnership with the Office of the Provost and Executive-Vice Chancellor, offers qualified UC Merced undergraduate students a combined MCAT preparation course through Kaplan, a test preparation company, and coaching from Dr. Pinesett The Study.Doc program.
Kaplan offers preparation courses for the MCAT exam. Kaplan offers a variety of course format options such as self-paced, live online, and boot camp.

The Study Doctor
The Total Student Transformation program was developed by Dr. Andre Pinesett at Stanford University and has helped thousands of students to get motivated, achieve better test results and ultimately achieve their academic goals through this preparation and study skills course. This program provides web-based training in four areas: effective time management, study skills and advanced study strategies, professional develop (e.g., networking, application, personal statement interviewing) and mental fitness (e.g., motivation, goal setting, stress management).
- Course: How to dominate the MCAT without an expensive prep class (over 30 hours of on demand lectures, lifetime access).
- Community: Access to Dr. Pinesett’s COGG (Cult of Greatness Group)
- Coaching: Access to biweekly live coaching sessions with Dr. Pinesett.
- Dr. Pinesett will also host a zoom meeting to onboard students.
Must be a current student at University of California, Merced. You must be in good standing with the University and not on academic probation.
The subsidized cost of the UC Merced MCAT Prep Program is $200. This includes a Kaplan Prep Course and the Total Student Transformation program. The Office of Medical Education will cover the remaining balance of the costs. Please email Kelli Cato at email@example.com to reserve your spot.

C) UC Merced alumni who graduated more than one year ago are eligible to obtain the prep course at a discounted rate of $1325.00
