Given program requirements, SJV PRIME+ students are not allowed to study abroad during fall or spring semesters. However, summer study abroad opportunities may be considered based on a student’s academic progress and ability to remain on track for timely degree completion. Students who are in good standing and interested in studying abroad must first meet with their SJV PRIME+ Staff Advisor to review their progress and ensure alignment with program requirements before pursuing next steps. Following this meeting, students may be referred to appropriate campus partners (e.g., Major Academic Advising, Office of International Affairs, Financial Aid) as
appropriate. As a reminder, SJV PRIME+ students must take all major and MedEd Core required classes at UC Merced in accordance with the program’s transfer credit policy.
