Eligibility
The SJV PRIME+ BS/MD program is an eight-year educational partnership between the University of California (UC) Merced, UCSF Fresno, and UCSF School of Medicine designed to support future physicians committed to serving the San Joaquin Valley (SJV). The program is designed for students who are interested in medicine and want to make a long-term impact on the SJV communities. Students eligible for the program will:
- Apply to UC Merced as newly-incoming, first-time-freshman.
- Have a minimum overall UC GPA of 3.6 (Learn how to calculate your University of California GPA here).
- Meet the University of California admissions criteria.
- Have connections to and expressed interest in being a physician who will serve the SJV.
