UC Merced Housing Policy

UC Merced’s Residence Education policies and behavioral standards are established to ensure a safe and harmonious community for all residents. It's important to familiarize yourself with these policies and standards and make responsible decisions. As a member of this community, consider the impact of your choices and behaviors on those around you. Understand that violations may result in accountability based on evidence. You are also responsible for the actions of your guests while on campus. UC Merced Living Learning Communities (LLCs) bring together students who share common interests and educational goals. These communities offer a wide range of academic, social, and personal resources across campus. Supported by the Office of Housing and Residence Education, LLCs aim to enrich student learning, promote academic persistence, stimulate intellectual growth, and seamlessly connect classroom learning with extracurricular activities. First-year SJV PRIME+ students are strongly encouraged to join the Next Gen Health Professionals Living Learning Community (LLC), an invite only community, which is specifically tailored to their needs.

Students must ensure they submit all their housing documents on time, maintain communication with the SJV PRIME+ Student Navigator, and collaborate with Housing to facilitate the processing of their applications and contracts. Housing will manually enroll eligible students into the Next Gen Health Professionals LLC. To learn more, please see the following link for additional details:  https://housing.ucmerced.edu/llc
